Not sure what to buy a goth for a birthday? Don't buy a Sisters album. They already have it. Even if they don't have, they've heard Sisters best songs so many times whilst clubbing they don't need the album. If there could be one song to represent Goth music (non-punk and non-industrial) it would be Temple Of Love by Sisters. The music is rock, the vocals are deep, evocative and sometimes a hard to comprehend mumble, and the faster tracks are always dance floor fillers.

A Slight Case of Overbombing is a best of Sisters compilation, and every track is famous. The first two tracks are not available on other albums. First and Last and Always is also good, I like the title track, "Marian", but most of all "Some kind of stranger" which is a gothic prog rock melancholic metallica-like ballad.
Sisters are good. More, Detonation Boulevard, This Corrosion, Doctor Jeep, Mother Russia are some of my favorite tracks to bounce to, or listen to. Perhaps that is Sisters strong point, that they are immediately listenable, yet they are dancable, too. Sisters invokes an instant *bounce* for most groups of alternative people.
