WStroudley seems to have missed the entire point of a personal CD review site. Just one look around and it is 100% obvious that this is a personal site, with my own writing and opinions, and not some politically correct, musically neutral commerce site.
So, WStroudley, I rate whatever CD with whatever rating I feel like according to how much I like the CD. That is the bottom line. But you do make one good point. Joy Divisions other stuff is very good, it's just that particular album is their worst. Hence a crap rating.
Joy Division is a very popular band in goth circles. And I either put them in my "goth" section, or put them in the fucking 80's/Pop section... which aint going to happen. They don't share shelf space with Sinead O'Connor, Spice Girls, OMD or Beautiful South.
You are angered with the rating because you personally like the album, yet you simultaneously describe an entire genre as "crappy little goth shit".
